Last weekend of 2008............
and I'm doing NOTHING!! lol In fact I'm still in bed! Angel left for Arizona last night with my aunt and cousin, Ricky, me & the the other 2 kiddos went to The Pizza Factory to watch the UFC fight which apparently was a big disappointment (I really wasn't paying much attention due to the fact it really isn't that interesting to me) then we headed over to a friends house to watch the kids play Rock Band. Home at 12:30am and now I'm laying in bed typing........just typing. Its quiet. The girls are still asleep and Ricky is at work so I'm now going to take advantage and go back to sleep myself! night night or should i say morning morning?
Enjoy your last weekend of the year everyone!

The good, the bad, the snow and the sugar!
Okay so its been almost half a year since Ive updated my blog and let me tell you SO much has transpired since! Let me be the first to say SO LONG 2008!! I'm usually pretty sad to see the end of any year come so quickly but this year will go without one tear shed!
Sure there have been some wonderful memories made in '08 but the truth is this has been a tough year. Ive decided to save the hellacious details except for the one about me not having a teenage in the house any longer. My step daughter came to live with us for about 4 months which felt like an eternity. She came to us from a place with no rules, boundaries or consequences for ones actions. We are most defiantly a family that is quite the opposite so without having to go any further, I'm sure you see my frustration with the situation. We tried just about every avenue we had or were given to turn things around and in the end it just came down to she wasn't willing to change or even try. So although I love her we all thought it was best for every ones sanity (not to mention the effect it was having on the younger kids) that she move back with her mother and I think my hair is starting to grow back in!........no really. It was falling out due to my high level of stress. So thanks for listening to (or reading rather) my tirade. Much appreciated!
WAIT DON'T GO ANYWHERE!!!!!!
I do have some good news for you all! After months of auditions, Sarah finally landed her first commercial job!! Filming will be the 8th of next month!! We are so excited for her!
We had some (a lot) of snow last week. Here a few pictures.
We had a lot of time to bake because of the snow.

Pictures of Australia & my GG prompt LO!
So its been a week since Angel has been home but now Sarah is at soccer camp! This weekend they will ALL be home!!

Angel had a wonderful time in Australia! She made a few new friends and wants to go back as a family! With all the wonderful things she did and saw, she could probably be our tour guide!! lol
In Brisbane the went to Under Water World, they went to the Australian Zoo where she held a Koala!

They stayed at a FarmStay where they went horse back riding, learned to crack a wip, and learned to bush dance.
They spent time learning about the Great Barrier Reef before going out on a glass bottom boat then boarding another boat to go snorkeling! They saw many giant clams, large colorful fish, coral and many whales!!
They stayed at Yepoon resort hotel and explored the Capicorn Caves. They went to the Aboriginal Center where they learned to throw a boomerang and listed to the locals play the digereedo!
They borded a bus for a 19 hour ride to the Ridges Hotel. They made a stop at Gin Gin School where they saw the campus and learned about the education journey of an Australian kiddo!
They flew to Sydney to visit the Opera House and participated in a reinactment of early European convicts life in Australian jails.
At the Opera House they learned how the building came to be and got to explore some of the many many theaters that make up the Opera House.
They recieved surfing lessons from a native Australian surfur!!
Went for a swim at the Aquadic Center, went to the ANZ Stadium where they stood on the 2000 Olympics podium!
And because their flight home was delayed for hours, they got to go on one last outing to the Natural History Museum in Sydney.
This is just a handful of thing they did and saw on their 15 day trip!!
Here are a few pictures that Angel took! She took 800+ pictures!! GOOD GIRL! lol
Alrighty on to another subject!
Hop on over to the Gutter Girlz Blog and check out our new prompt! "When We Fight" the technique is RIPPED!!

1:10pm just wont get here any quicker!
That's the time Angel lands!! She coming home today and I couldn't be any happier! I went grocery shopping last night and got some of her favs like hot chocolate and reddi whip, Nutella, and horchata! YEA!! Well we found out yesterday that her flight was delayed from 9:45 untill 1:05 and I can only imagine the look on her face when she learned of the delay! One of the delagation leaders arranged for a bus to take the kids to a natural history museum to pass the time. That was their last Australian adventure before boarding the plane bound for LAX, bound for home!
